I'm currently a Junior at University of Houston majoring in tuba performance. I love all kinds of playing: anywhere from orchestral, jazz, latin, wind ensemble/concert band, hip hop sousaphone playing, quintet, brass band, tuba-euphonium quartet, to night club combos. I love it all!
My equipment:
1. Willson 3100 FA-5 BBb tuba purchased new in 2009 (bright silver)
2. 1953 Conn 20J tuba (upright bell, naked lady, satin silver)
3. 1921 Conn 40K Sousaphone (BBb 4 valve in laquer)
Awards & Honors:
* TEXAS 5A All State Band in 2006
*numerous years of making All Region band and Orchestra in High school
*National Collegiate Wind Ensemble in 2008 (performed in NYC at Carnegie Hall)
*Numerous years of making State solo and ensemble in High school on solo.
As stated earlier, I'm a very well rounded tuba/sousaphone player and love playing all kinds of music, but am also willing to share my love for the tuba by giving youngsters private lessons. I will charge a rate of $10 per half hour, or 20$ hour |
